The OEM Veloster N Intake system is pretty stout already but there is definitely room for improvement. We upped the air filter size to a 4 inch inlet using our own high flowing, genuine SXTH Element Air Filters! Easy, no oil cleaning. Check out our dyno results! The silicone intake tube is just under 4 inches and flows significantly more than the stock, ribbed tube. The silicone is also very heat resistant to help keep intake air temperatures from getting too hot.
This intake is currently available in Black silicone and it deletes the factory turbo bypass valve hose connection. Simply remove the hose for all the turbo noises! Because the factory airbox is substituted for the open element filter, the bypass valve discharge noises will be VERY audible anyway. There are no side effects or problems with removing the bypass valve hose.
Our system comes with the OEM vacuum connections. It is currently not available with the OEM bypass valve connection but that option will be coming in the future.
As you can see in the dyno graph, the intake starts to show it's flow superiority around 4500 rpm at wide open throttle. There are consistent 8-11 wheel horsepower and 8-11 wheel torque gains to redline.
